Theoretical minimum
Students of the chair are supposed to pass a number of examinations from Landau's theoretical minimum by the following deadlines:
| Mathematics I | by October 15 of the 2nd year | |
| Mechanics | by October 1 of the 3rd year | |
| Field theory | by December 15 of the 3rd year | |
| Quantum mechanics | spring term of the 3rd year | |
| Statistical physics I | fall term of the 4th year | |
| Electrodynamics of continuous media | spring term of the 4th year |
