Theoretical minimum
Students of the chair are supposed to pass a number of examinations from Landau's theoretical minimum by the following deadlines:
| Mathematics I | spring term of the 2nd year | |
| Quantum mechanics | spring term of the 3rd year |
Passing the remaining exams is recommended. The requirement to take them is at the discretion of the supervisors. In particular, such a requirement may arise at the time of selecting a supervisor.
